PHOTO Education Rivers varsity announces 37th and 38th combined convocation, exhibition

Port Harcourt, Rivers – The management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially announced that its 37th and 38th Combined Convocation Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the university’s Convocation Arena.

The announcement was contained in a press release signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Ibimonia B. S. Harry, and dated November 12, 2025.

According to the release, the forthcoming convocation marks yet another milestone in the institution’s commitment to celebrating academic excellence and innovation.

The combined event is expected to feature the awarding of degrees, diplomas, and honorary distinctions to deserving graduates from different faculties across the university.

In preparation for the celebration, the university has also scheduled a two-day Convocation Exhibition to precede the main event. The exhibition will take place on Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Amphitheatre, located within the university premises.

The university management extended an open invitation to companies, organizations, and entrepreneurs across the country to participate in the exhibition.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their products, innovations, and services to a diverse academic audience and visiting dignitaries expected for the convocation week.

Mrs. Harry emphasized that the convocation exhibition is a vital component of the celebration, designed to promote the spirit of innovation and enterprise among students and industry partners. She noted that the event will also foster collaboration between academia and industry in line with RSU’s vision of driving technological and socio-economic advancement.

With thousands of graduates expected to be conferred with various degrees, the 2025 combined convocation promises to be one of the grandest in the university’s history. Stakeholders, alumni, parents, and members of the public are expected to attend the historic event.
