Auchi, Edo – In a resounding display of commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Anamero Dekeri Sunday, the Member of the House of Representatives for Etsako Federal Constituency in Edo State, has rolled out an ambitious slate of constituency projects captured in the 2025 federal budget.

‎The initiatives, spanning agriculture, water supply, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, underscore the lawmaker's dedication to uplifting the three local government areas of Etsako East, Etsako West, and Etsako Central since his inauguration in June 2023.

‎The projects, many already completed or nearing fruition, reflect a strategic blend of immediate relief and long-term infrastructure, funded through federal allocations and facilitated by the representative's advocacy in the National Assembly.

‎Hon. Dekeri, who unveiled the projects via a Facebook post highlighted several flagship achievements that have already begun reshaping daily life in Etsako

‎:Agricultural Boost: Two garri processing lines have been supplied and constructed in Ogute and Okugbe, both in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area (LGA). These facilities empower local farmers by streamlining cassava processing, reducing post-harvest losses, and boosting income in agrarian communities.

‎Water Access Revolution: Eight solar-powered boreholes now dot the constituency, delivering clean water to remote areas. Completed sites include Ogiriga Community in Okpella (Etsako East), Igbirra Camp in Auchi (Etsako West), Ofukpo in Ekperi (Etsako Central), Iyakpi in South Ibie (Etsako West), Udochi in South Uneme (Etsako Central), Upland Agenebode (Etsako East), and Ubienne in Aviele (Etsako West).

‎Educational Infrastructure Surge: Four units of three-classroom blocks stand as testaments to the priority on learning. These include Afowa Mixed Secondary School in Afowa Uzairue (Etsako West), Esivue Primary School in Ubienne Aviele (Etsako West), Asama Primary School in Ogbona (Etsako Central), and Evava Primary School in Okpella (Etsako East). Each block features modern amenities, addressing chronic overcrowding and decay in public schools.

‎Illumination and Safety: Solar streetlights have been installed in Iddo (Okpella, Etsako East), Auchi (Etsako West), and Iyiku in Uzairue (Etsako West), enhancing nighttime security and economic activity in bustling townships.

‎Additionally, the ongoing construction of an NYSC Corps Members' Lodge in Okpella (Etsako East) promises better accommodations for national youth service participants, fostering community integration.

‎With several projects in progress or slated to commence imminently, Hon. Dekeri assured constituents of accelerated delivery before the end of his first term.

‎Highlights include:

‎Two solar-powered boreholes under construction in Anyua Community, Uzairue (Etsako West), and Anegbette in South Uneme (Etsako Central), with one more set to break ground in Iviavia Community, Fugar (Etsako Central).

‎A comprehensive expansion of educational facilities, including a six-classroom block at Iddo Community Grammar School in Iddo-Okpella, and three-classroom blocks at Okpisa Primary School in Emokweme, Agenebode Ward 1 (Etsako East), and Imeke Community Secondary School.

‎Healthcare advancements:

‎Rehabilitation of the Osomegbe Ekperi Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Etsako Central; construction of a new Comprehensive PHC in Ogute, Okpella (Etsako East); and the supply of transformers to select PHCs. Drug supplies will also reach facilities across the constituency, alongside empowerment for local pharmacists.

‎Community and economic uplift: A mini gaming centre in Okpella to engage youth productively; solar streetlights in additional communities; and targeted empowerment programs providing modern farming tools to youth and women farmers, equipment to artisans, and medical outreach for elders, youth, and women.

‎These efforts build on Hon. Dekeri's pre-2025 track record, including borehole facilities, rural electrification, and road rehabilitations through his Anamero Idofe Foundation, as well as educational scholarships and market constructions like the three-block market in Ibienafe, Etsako West.
