Benin, Edo – The executive director of Network for the Advancement of People With Visible Disabilities (NAPVID), Melody Omosah Esq on Wednesday appealed for support for a physically challenged photographer, Maxwell Ohiare whose wife, Maxwell Joy gave birth to triplets recently at an undisclosed health facility in Benin City.

Omosah made the appeal while presenting a cheque of N800,000, as well as beverages, detergent and food items under its 'Project HELP' initiative, to the couple in the state capital.

According to the NAPVID executive director, the appeal became necessary as the couple are in dire need of N3,500,000 to clear the medical bills at the facility where the woman delivered the babies (two boys and a girl).

Omosah further appealed for support for the balance N2,700,000 so that the mother and her children can be discharged from the facility to go home.

"I call on well-meaning; spirited individuals, institutions and corporate bodies to contribute to this course. The bills need to be cleared and the family needs to survive", Omosah said, as he congratulated the couple for what he described as "bundle of blessings".

Responding, the physically challenged father of the children, Ohiare expressed appreciation to NAPVID for the kind gesture.

Ohiare who could not hide his joy explained that NAPVID has been supportive of his education since he had an accident which led to the amputation of one of his leg.

"I thank everyone who have contributed to this. NAPVID has been there for me since my 100 level days at Ambrose Alli University (AAU)", he said
