King Solomon's wisdom teaches that criminals including kidnappers use diabolical, spiritual powers to operate. Hence, they outwit our security agencies in several instances even when they are mentally alert.

Also, with their devilish charms these criminals can spoil and vaporize court cases against them.

Given all these facts, crime in Edo State should not only be fought with bare physical senses as we are now doing without much success.

The way out? Edo Governor, Monday Okpebholo, should immediately liase with Chief Abudu Ugbesia (JP), the chairman of Edo State Traditional Medicine Board to make a law that coopts medicine men into our security architecture.

Such a legislation should empower Hon. Ugbesia and his board:

● To recommend to the government for outright ban from practice in Edo State any medicine man who prepares charms for criminals.

● To be part of bodies that will profile, screen and vet all local vigilante nominees.

● To ensure that only non cultists and truly renounced cult members are eventually recruited into Edo Security Corps. Unless this is done, the government will end up recruiting cultists and criminals into the corps which then becomes only a lame, paraplegic docile sitting duck.

● To conduct raids of juju shrines and other esoteric hide-outs where hard drugs are sold from which security operatives avoid like a plaque out of fear, clandestine or monetary reasons.

● To administer oath on all employed Edo Security Corps members before assumption of office. We fear oath more than the bible or koran!

● To coopt medicine men into the security architectures of each of the 192 wards in Edo State. Such men should be under Ugbesia's board and report directly through him straight to the governor. These medicine men's mandate should include monitoring all security agencies which job description now is shamelessly collecting bribes on the roads from innocent people anf criminals alike.

Our governor has worked so hard to rid Edo State of criminals. He should keep up the momentum. Eboh don come oooo!! Criminals are today sleeping with their two eyes wide open.

Trust, if the governor collaborates with Chief Abudu Ugbesia and his Edo Traditional Medicine Board c'est fini for criminals in Edo State. The music is over for them.

Now is the time to step up total combination physical and spiritual warfare on killjoys in our midst and their surrogate demonic agents in the security forces.
