Benin, Edo – The Edo State House of Assembly has confirmed six commissioner nominees and the chairman, along with members of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC).

The decision followed the presentation and consideration of a report submitted by the House Committee on Rules, Business, and Government, chaired by Majority Leader Honourable Charity Aiguobarueghian during the plenary.

It can be recalled that Governor Monday Okpebholo had earlier forwarded the nominees' names to the House for screening and confirmation.

The confirmed commissioners include; Paul Ohonbamu, Washington Ose-Osifo, Dr. Emmanuel Iyamu, Dr. Lucky Esegbe, Andrew Ijegbai, Marie Idahomi. For the EDSIEC, the following were confirmed; Jonathan Aifuowokha as Chairman, Ojo Asen, Tony Aigbowomen, Ighomo Thompson, Imafidon Hope, Dr. Suleiman Ikwuoria, and Habib Frank as members.
